The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge to create new businesses (startup). The course offers a comprehensive approach on how to turn an idea into a product and in turn a product into a sustainable business, based on the lean startup methodology. The goal is for students to embrace an entrepreneurial mindset as a key element in creating a new business, in addition to developing entrepreneurial skills.
Introduction to lean startup methodology; The entrepreneurial idea (ideation workshop); The business model (the business model canvas, business model innovation); Customer discovery I (defining the problem, analyzing competition, and selecting the target market – beachhead market); Customer discovery II (customer profiles, problem interviews, and identifying customer needs); The entrepreneurial team (team development and communication, forming teams, and team manifesto); Customer discovery III (defining the solution, creating an MVP (Minimum Viable Product), executing real-life experiments); Business plan basics; Business plan financials; Presentation skills for startups (elevator pitch); Start-up funding (bootstrapping, Friends, family and fools, business angels, venture capital/corporate venture capital, crowdfunding, initial coin offerings).
