CIVIS (Europe's Civic University Alliance) is a network of public European Universities with the aim of creating a European University. The eight Universities that are members of this network are: Aix-Marseille Université (Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, Φρανψε), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Athens, Greece), Université Libre de Bruxelles (Brussels, Belgium), Universitatea din București (Boucharest, Romania), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Madrit, Spain), Sapienza Università di Roma (Rome, Italy), Stockholms universitet (Stockholm, Sweden) and Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen (Germany). CIVIS aims to create a truly unique European inter-university campus where students, academics, researchers and staff will move and collaborate as freely as in their home institution. We will significantly develop European integration, which will include common learning paths, development of complementary research tools and different ways of certifying qualifications.
