Through its participation in the European University of CIVIS, UoA offers its students the opportunity to participate in various educational programmes, the "CIVIS Courses", such as the "Blended Intensive Programmes" and supports financially the physical mobility (student accommodation and in some cases travel), according to the terms of the invitation. It is noted that the basic conditions for receiving financial support are: the participant must be a registered student of the UoA (maintain active student status) and must not be in receipt of any other Erasmus grant for the period during which the CIVIS training activity is taking place. Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are a new form of Erasmus+ mobility. Each BIP course combines online teaching with a short period of physical mobility, where you can spend 5 days at another university with students from across the CIVIS Alliance! Combining online sessions with a short trip with face-to-face teaching, this innovative course format opens up opportunities for international study to new groups of students.
Each BIP is developed, organised and taught by academics from three or more CIVIS member universities. BIPs are interdisciplinary in nature and involve the use of innovative educational methods. The student's participation in the intensive programme (BIP) corresponds to a fixed number of credits, at least 3 and up to 6 ECTS (also determined by the organisers of each programme). At the CIVIS European University, emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary education with an impact on society, therefore all CIVIS educational and research programmes, including BIPs, have been developed to respond to the 5 CIVIS challenges-themes of European interest (CIVIS Hubs).
For any questions and queries about BIPs, you can refer to the link: Q&A on Blended Intensive Programmes, or contact the team of the mobility office at the CIVIS office at: info-civis@uoa.gr and the responsible Ms. Nikopoulou Anna from the CIVIS office at: sanikopoulou@uoa.gr.
