PRACTICAL TRAINING (INTERSHIP)

Internship has been included as a program of the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment within the framework of the Act entitled "Internship of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for the academic year 2023-2024" with Code 5184403 which is included in the Operational Program "Development of Human Resources, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020" and is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Sub-project (1) entitled "Funding for the Internship of the Departments of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens"

The participation of the students of the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment in the Internship program is optional and can only be done once during their studies. The Internship has been included in the elective courses of the Study Guide of the Undergraduate Study Program and has 8 ECTS. The grade of the Internship is not counted towards the final grade of the degree.

The total duration of the Internship for the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment is eight (8) weeks (ie 2 months) full-time. During the two-month Internship, the student interns will receive a monthly participation fee, the amount of which is determined by the NKUA Internship Office, and they will be covered by insurance through the resources of the Program. The agencies have no involvement in matters of remuneration and insurance.

The process of submitting applications for inclusion of students in the Internship program, as well as the criteria for selecting students in the available positions (as defined annually for the Department by the Internship Office of the NKUA), are described in detail in the relevant notice posted on the start of the winter semester on the Department's website and/or communicated to students via e-class.

Joining the program implies on the part of the students, as well as the Host Agencies, the acceptance of specific conditions, as well as the fulfillment of a series of commitments and deliverables that are described in detail in the
