The Department of Geology and Geoenvironment is housed in the building complex of the Sciences on the University Campus (see Location and Access). The Departments of Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy are housed in the same complex. The Department's premises occupy the western part of the complex. The building facilities of the campus and a brief architectural plan of the Department's premises are illustrated in the last chapter.
The main entrance to the Geology Department is located on the west side of the building. A second entrance is located on the east side at a level corresponding to the 2nd floor. The Department communicates internally with the other Departments in the complex through a grid of corridors.
Other spaces: Secretariat (2nd floor), Medical Office (Science Building, opposite the Dean's Office, 2nd floor, as well as in the Faculty of Science building), Canteens, Photocopier, Bookstore (1st floor), Restaurant (Faculty of Science building), Faculty of Science Library (Department of Mathematics building, 2nd floor).
The Department has 3 auditoriums (A13, Drakopoulos Amphitheatre, FM1) and a number of smaller classrooms (C1-C15). The classrooms are equipped with the necessary electronic means of video and audio projection and internet connection. In addition, the auditoriums are equipped with microphone equipment.
The laboratories are distributed in the areas of the Departments and are equipped according to the needs of the students in each subject, e.g. microscopes, rock and fossil specimen collections, seismographs, maps, preparation rooms, chemistry equipment, analytical instruments, etc.
For the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students, the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment has electronic classrooms equipped with computers, special software for the study, analysis and processing of geological data.
The library of the Faculty of Science covers the needs and requirements of the departments of the Faculty of Science and the independent departments of Pharmacy and MIS. It is housed in the building of the Department of Mathematics on the 1st and 2nd floor, in the Zografou Campus.

On public holidays as defined by the Rector's Council, the library is closed. During holidays (Christmas, Easter, Summer) the opening hours are adjusted accordingly.
