DONATION OF ACADEMIC LICENSES FOR MOVE SOFTWARE FROM PE LIMITED (PETEX)
The Department of Geology and Geoenvironment, following a coordinated effort by the Section of Tectonics, Structural and Applied Geology and the Laboratories of Tectonics & Geological Mapping and Study and Management of Natural Disasters, recently acquired 10 academic licenses for the software suite MOVE from PE Limited (PETEX) as a donation. The total value of the licenses amounts to £1,928,384.01 per year.
The MOVE software is the leading tool for tectonic analysis and it will significantly contribute to the Departmental educational and research work in the fields of Structural Geology, Tectonics, Geological Field mapping and Engineering Geology.
